This week at Fletcher Street Cottage, we’ve been focused on key collaborations, community support and helping individuals move closer to stability. Here’s a look at what’s been happening.
Highlights:
- We kicked the week off with a Local Leaders Meeting alongside key stakeholders in the homelessness sector to discuss the proposed Draft NSW Homelessness Strategy 2025-2035. These important discussions aim to shape the future of homelessness services in our region.
- We were incredibly grateful to receive a $500 donation from Crystalbrook. Their generosity makes a real difference in enabling us to provide ongoing support to our clients.
- A client who had been on the waitlist for a long time received permanent housing. This is an incredible achievement and a positive step forward in their journey.
- Amrita Pantry served up a delicious breakfast for our clients on Thursday. Their ongoing weekly support and contribution are deeply appreciated. Find out more about Amrita Pantry here.
- On Thursday afternoon, we met with Rob and Anita from The Northern Rivers Tenants Advocacy Service to discuss referral pathways and support for our clients. Collaborations like this help us ensure that our clients have access to all the support they need.
- Over the week, we served 210 hot breakfasts and had 9 different visiting services come through our doors to support our clients. We are proud to work alongside so many fantastic organisations to make a difference.
