Elder Beats: Free Seniors Drumming Circle (Aged 55+)

Experience the uplifting power of rhythm at our free group djembe drumming session for seniors! This session is a fun and engaging way to boost your energy, enhance wellbeing and connect with others. Whether you're a first-timer or seasoned musician, everyone can join in and contribute to the rhythm in their own way!

Drumming has been shown to improve mood, reduce stress and promote physical wellbeing. It’s also a wonderful way to foster social connections.

Guided by Gareth Jones, who spent a decade in South Africa honing his passion for drumming and learning from Zulu elders, performers and musicians, these sessions are a testament to his dedication. Gareth's journey also took him to Ghana, where he studied with master drummers, further enriching his knowledge and skills. For the past two decades, he has shared his expertise and love for drumming through his professional teaching and performances.

Drums and percussion instruments provided. This is a FREE EVENT but bookings are required to confirm your place. You can book to come to all sessions or just some, it's up to you.
