Tomorrow’s People will travel to Geelong, Melbourne and Ballarat in Victoria, before jumping further north for shows in Byron Bay and Brisbane. It will then snake its way through Wollongong, the Central Coast and Sydney in NSW.
In the spirit of youthful democracy, Tomorrow’s People will offer a rotating line up. Fans are advised to arrive early to catch their artist of choice.
Melbourne’s Dylan Joel effortlessly blends the sounds of hip-hop, gospel and soul. His passion for musical quality, combined with clever wordplay, socially aware lyrical content, forms a very unique take on hip-hop. His debut album Authentic Lemonade was released this year, landing a coveted triple j feature album.
Indie pop progeny E^ST demonstrated her impressive range on the release of her second EP The Alley in September. The 17 year old from NSW’s Central Coast blends urgent beats with nostalgic pop. Her Like A Version for triple j has racked up over 200k views on YouTube marking the evolution of an exhilarating new talent.
Riding at the forefront of the new wave of electronic producers is Sydney’s Kilter, AKA Ned East. The young producer’s tropically – infused, percussion laden beats have seen a loyal fan base build among punters, peers and industry types alike. Kilter’s infectious and atmospheric sounds have been driving people to the dance floor, but it is his live show that keeps them dancing and sets the electronic whiz kid apart. Following the release of his second EP Shades in July, Kilter cemented his place as one of the most exciting electronic producers coming out of Australia
UV boi is the Tumblrfied aesthetic musical project of the 19-year-old Brisbane based producer. Bringing mellow, genre melding, yet heavy hitting 808’s music, he is with no doubt one of the most refreshing producers coming out of the scene. UV boi was nominated as one of the triple j Unearthed artists in 2014 and won the 2014 title of Undiscovered Artist Of The Year for ‘Inthemix Awards’.
