Alison Pearl Presents the SUMMERSONG SUPERSHOW

With some of the talented musicians from Summersong Music Camp’s 17th year.

Featured artist is New York’s Bob Telson, in his only Australian gig, on the Steinway grand!  With Grammy, Academy, Tony, and Pulitzer Prize nominations,  pianist/composer/singer/arranger, formerly keyboardist with Phillip Glass, is best known for his song from the film ‘Bagdad Cafe’, ‘Calling You’, and his opera ‘Gospel at Colonus’.   He co-wrote ‘Barefoot’ with kd lang, directed Sinead O’Connor’s gospel show at Lincoln Center, toured with salsa legend Tito Puente, composed the score for Broadway’s ‘Chronicle of A Death Foretold’, produced for Clarence Fountain, plus music for films, dance in various genres.

He’ll be joined by California folk legend Kristina Olsen on her multi-instruments with her uproarious tales and songs, NZ’s gospel and a cappella maestro Tony Backhouse, and local singing siren/pianist/composer Shelly Brown.

Expect some collaboration between these great artists, and some truly memorable music.

All artists will have CDs for sale.
