Meditate Australia is a national project presented by Sahaja Yoga Meditation
Sahaja Yoga Meditation, while sharing many of the fundamentals of traditional meditation techniques, is unique because of how effortlessly it can help you achieve ‘thoughtless awareness’ or mental silence. This is the state of consciousness that we aim to achieve in meditation. In this state our thoughts reduce and our mind clears yet we stay fully aware and relaxed, which allows us to feel the subtle elements of our existence. Our mind becomes a place of stability, clarity and focus.
Founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970 and now practiced worldwide, Sahaja Yoga Meditation offers a range of techniques and practices to help you understand more about yourself – from health to spirituality.
In July 2019, the Meditate Australia initiative will be conducting a nationwide tour, bringing Sahaja Yoga practitioners from around the world, of all ages and cultural backgrounds, to share free meditation classes in communities across the country. Four individual groups will cover the major cities and regional centres over 21 days. Our aim is to make the experience and benefits of meditation easily accessible to every-day people leading everyday lives.
An introductory class teaches the basic techniques of Sahaja Yoga Meditation and takes the participants through the process of Self Realisation, also known as kundalini awakening. This allows the individual to experience the state of thoughtless awareness and discover the true essence of meditation. Participants will learn how to start practising meditation in their own home and allows them to experience the benefits of Sahaja Yoga Meditation.
Free follow up classes will be available for those who wish to deepen their experience and knowledge of Sahaja Yoga Meditation.
