Covid Lockdown complications made it difficult for Zoe’s publisher to have her book printed and distributed in time for Saturday. The book was to be a key focus of the event.
After consulting with the Byron Writers Festival Director, we have decided to move this event to Saturday 31 July at the same time (2-4 pm) and at the same venue (The Byron Theatre).
Tickets already issued for this Saturday are valid for the new date.
Byron Theatre is in the process of contacting all ticket holders.
We apologise for any disappointment and look forward to seeing you at the Byron Theatre in July.
Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sponsored by ABC Friends Northern Rivers, this event at Byron Theatre will feature a Q&A between local broadcaster Kerry O’Brien and former ABC colleague Zoe Daniel.
Zoe worked as a cadet for the ABC in the Northern Rivers Region before taking up her first appointment in Adelaide in 1993. She was the ABC’s foreign correspondent in Africa from 2005-2007 and South East Asian correspondent from 2009-2013.
Zoe has recently returned to Australia from the USA where she was the ABC’s Washington correspondent from December 2015. Her posting coincided with the Presidential campaign and subsequent election of Donald Trump. In mid-February 2021, Zoe will publish her second book, Trumpland, that draws upon her direct personal experience of the Trump era.
Following the Q&A, there will be an opportunity to take questions from the audience and at the end of the session, between 3.30pm and 4.00pm, Zoe will be on hand to sign copies of Trumpland, supplied for purchase in the theatre by The Book Room at Byron.
Please Note: This event is live in the theatre.
This is a Covidsafe event, therefore we will be operating at restricted capacity with social distancing measures in place.
For the health & safety of all, signage & sanitising stations are set up throughout the venue. We ask that you adhere to all covid guidelines while attending the theatre.
The Byron Theatre and Community Centre is a registered CovidSafe business.
