14 men, 14 worlds, 14 places at the table.
Every week they gather, scratching the surface, digging deep, looking for the poetics of life. Falling over, getting up, falling over getting up, falling over… no auditions, not even so much as an interview. No criteria. Nobody really knows what we’re doing or where it may lead. But it will be alright…
Following on from the revered, standing ovation success of our Women’s Theatre now in its 3rd year, Public Act Theatre was beyond thrilled to open its theatre doors to invite men exclusively to create an ensemble, welcoming any man willing to tread the boards!
Public Act were fortunate enough to engage two local theatre professionals to lead the charge, Adrian Williams Brett (Dustyesky, Theatre of Life, Actor & Trainer for 35 years) and Brin Pritchard (Jacques Lecoq, Impro/Commedia dell’Arte specialist, Lightwire, TAOC Theatre Company).
A group of 14 men have been meeting weekly to improvise, sing, write and play. This one-night only performance is the culmination of their 9-week process. A vibrant and varied ensemble, they lay their personal and collective worlds on the table in true theatrical style to delight and challenge our thoughts of being a man-being.
