Based in Byron Bay, the band KOTOBA will launch its first album, Cobra to Bass.
In the making for over two years, KOTOBA is a collective group of local and international musicians who joined their talents to create a smooth, sophisticated large sound consisting of diverse styles and genres; Jazz fusion, swing, soul, funk, Bossa and R&B all fused into a style coined by Amirel Lachish as Stealth Jazz.
Musicians:
Amirel Lachish: Musical director, producer, composer, arranger, plays the double-bass, electric bass, Hammond B3 organ and keys.
Mark Heazlett: Co producer, lyricist, silky vocals and guitar
Asha Franco: Deep soul vocalist and lyricist
Guitar: the great, funky Matt Day
Bass: Mr. deep groove Maurice Cernigoi

Electric piano: Kyoto Renowned Jazz pianist the great Akimitsu Iwase
Drums: Top Kyoto Jazz drummer Motohiro Shioiri
Lead Trumpet: The highly acclaimed Kyoto female trumpeter Michi Fujii Tanaka.
