Khentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche was born in Tibet. He became a monk at the age of seven and spent thirty years studying meditation and techniques for working with the mind to bring positive change into the world from the inside out.
During his training he received three Khenpo degrees, equivalent to having three P.h.D’s from the most prominent Buddhist universities in the world. He is the abbot of a monastery in Eastern Tibet, but has been in the United States since 2002. He oversees over twenty meditation groups across the United States and Canada and travels the world giving lectures in universities, institutions, and private organizations.
Rinpoche is an advocate of vegetarianism and environmentalist and conservationist. His teachings focus on starting a movement of change within oneself in order to bring change into the world.
