On International Women’s Day, the Women’s Village Collective presents the Hung Out To Dry Community Forum and Installation to powerfully witness the impact of the housing crisis on women and children in our community. We’re bringing women and stakeholders together to actively create and implement solutions.
Mandy Nolan will be your Forum host and Local Futures’ Helena Norberg Hodge will give introductory remarks.
Women’s Village Collective and heads of key organisations throughout the Shire will form a panel of innovative solutions to turn this housing crisis around.
The Theatre will be festooned with the haunting installation Hung Out To Dry – powerfully representing the 600,000 Australian women living with or facing imminent homelessness.
We as a community have the opportunity and responsibility to solve this issue locally.
We’re inviting all members of our community to be part of creating the solution. We’re calling on organisations, investors, philanthropists, land holders, homeowners, women, and everyone in our local community who want to be part of the movement to create secure housing for women so that we may all thrive.
