Vera – People Who Can Fly – Vera is a spirited elder of the Byron Bay community who recounts her harrowing yet hopeful and courageous tale as a Polish holocaust survivor.

Heaven – A desperate old man invades a heroin dealer’s home making weird and unusual demands.

Man – A worn-out, aging shearer, who once reigned as king of the high country, gets on the gear to keep up his numbers. But when the drugs take over he must learn what it really means to be a man, before he loses so much more than his country pride.

Booth – When a devoted wife and mother in a payphone booth learns that her husband is leaving her, her world falls down around her. And just as her credit runs out and the phone cuts off, her young disabled son appears with a coin to offer to help.

Advance Australian Film – Independent filmmaker Courtney Dawson goes on an exploratory journey, chronicling the development of our national cinema over the years, by speaking with filmmakers, actors, industry professionals and the general public. The documentary also examines changes that are occurring across the world, such as crowd-funding, social media marketing and alternative distribution models, which are empowering filmmakers today and changing the way movies are being produced and accessed.
