Nothing Stops Detroit – A short, splice-of-life piece documenting Californian street artist Evan Rossell during a painting trip to Detroit City. Shot entirely on 16mm and Super 8mm film stock.

The No Name Painting Association – In 2011, a group of Chinese artists gathered in New York City for an exhibition of works they made in the early seventies, during the dark days of the Cultural Revolution. Their stay culminated in an afternoon of painting in Central Park, an event that reflected their artistic beginnings as free artists.

Chimeras – Liu Gang, the only child of a humble rural family, gets a dream start for his art career as an American curator invites him to exhibit in the most prestigious art gallery in China. The film follows his metamorphosis from a humble photography graduate into a rising art star. While enjoying his new life within Beijing’s jet set world of westernized luxury, he starts to wonder who he is and where he is heading to. Meanwhile international art star, Wang Guangyi, an aging multi-millionaire pop-artist is obsessed with questions of his legacy and feelings of emptiness after having achieved it all. Through the lives of these two contemporary artists, Chimeras freeze-frames China at the moment when its aspirations are at war with its sense of identity.
