The health and safety of our audiences, clients, staff, volunteers and the local community is of the utmost importance to us.
We are paying close attention to all updates from the Australian Government Department of Health on the coronavirus (Covid-19).
At the Byron Theatre and Community Centre, we’re taking additional precautions including increased frequency of cleaning by staff and cleaners, new pre and post show routines to sanitise shared surfaces, making hand sanitiser available for all patrons, staff and volunteers, while ensuring everyone continues to follow NSW Department of Health guidelines.
We’d be very grateful if you’d help keep the Theatre and Centre safe for everybody by practicing enhanced hand washing and taking other recommended control measures when you visit. Most importantly, please do stay at home if you’re feeling unwell or have travelled to, or had contact with someone returning from a high risk area.
Ensuring the safety of our audiences, artists, staff and volunteers is our greatest priority. The Byron Theatre is a local 246-seat, not for profit theatre for hire. We are keeping up to date with all NSW venue restrictions, social distance guidelines and any closures, both locally and nationally, and will react appropriately.
If recommendations advise that events or venues must cease operations, or promoters/event organisers decide to postpone or cancel an event at the Theatre, we will inform you immediately by email or phone. In addition to this, please ensure you check the website for updates on all events.
Rest assured, we are constantly monitoring any Covid-19 updates from the NSW Government website.
