About the project
Our latest Be Connected project enables seniors (over 50’s) to borrow a laptop or tablet from the Byron Community Centre to increase their confidence in the digital world. It’s a great opportunity to try-before-you-buy, and connect with friends and family.
Loan periods and device set-up are tailored to meet your needs and come with internet connection and support from a digital skills tutor.
During the loan period, you will be supported to complete two or more Be Connected online digital skills courses that will see you safely and competently using the device to connect to friends and family, access online information or play online games.
The Byron Community Centre is a network partner with Be Connected, a nationwide initiative empowering all Australians to thrive in the digital world.
