The Byron Theatre
The Theatre is an outstanding venue for performing artists, film screenings and conferences. In its first year, the 246-seat amphitheatre style theatre won the 2003 Dolphin Award for Best Venue.
The tiered seating can be retracted to leave an open space with a 360 meter square sprung-dance floor suitable for dance events or a cabaret style set-up. Now, with an awesome new sound system in the Theatre and a comprehensive ticketing system with increasing online sales – the Byron Theatre is ideal for your next event!
Theatre Hire Package $924 (incl GST)

Included in this price is:
- Ticketing system: online, phone and box office sales
(+ $3 booking fee per ticket sold) - 6 hours hire of the theatre, including all technical equipment
(see Tech Specs below) - 4 hours of house technician
(includes pre-production, setup, show and pack down) - Front of House manager and ushers
- Bar sales to patrons (beer, wine, soft drinks & snacks)
- Basic event marketing including: Theatre website, monthly newsletter, weekly Echo advert event listing, poster space outside and inside the venue
Additional options:
- Additional technician hours $38.50 per hour
- Additional duty officer rate $38.50 per hour
- Rehersal venue hire $55 per hour
- Seat removal: $150
- Piano tuning: $140
- Additional marketing support, eg poster distribution – cost on application
- Multi-media Live Streaming
- Live Audio/Video Recording
- Multiple images on the big screen
Rehearsal Rate
$55 per hour. A special rate is available for rehearsals, this rate exists to supports events that require no additional infrastructure apart from use of the theatre space. Please note opening and closing charges may apply if outside normal business hours.
