About Liberation Larder
Since beginning operations in 2009, the Liberation Larder has fought to provide emergency meals and produce to those in need within the Byron Bay community. With a strategy that aims to enforce a healthy community by diminishing food insecurity, the Larder uses a community recycle scheme which sees local stores contributing their produce to be reimbursed into the needs of the community.
The Liberation Larder operates on both Mondays and Thursdays between 7am and 2pm and provides hot lunches, bags of fresh produce as well as emergency frozen meals.
Partnering with BCC by functioning from our Fletcher Street Room, the Larder’s welcoming atmosphere offers a place of refuge to those in need of good food and a comforting place to chat.
